What’s the class about?
Everyone loves a bowl of spaghetti or a delicately filled tortellini but how often do you make your own pasta from scratch? For many of us, the idea of making our own pasta seems quite daunting.
In fact, making pasta is incredibly rewarding and therapeutic! In this class, we will demystify the process so pasta making becomes part of your kitchen repertoire for good!
What will you cook?
We change our recipes seasonally but the type of dishes you may cook are:
- Lemon and ricotta tortellini with sage and brown butter
- Tagliatelle alla carbonara
- Orecchiette with broccoli, chilli and garlic
- Bitter leaves with anchovy and caper dressing
What is the format of the class?
You’ll enjoy a hot drink and pastry upon arrival and get to know your fellow classmates.
This class is a ‘cookalong’ format where you intermittently watch demonstrations as each pasta is prepared and cooked before cooking them yourself. This format ensures you see each skill directly before attempting it.
Some elements of the class will be cooked in pairs, others individually. You will enjoy the fruits of your labour for lunch with a glass or two of wine. You should also go home with some extra pasta to enjoy.
