The kitchen at Truro School Cookery was filled with the rich, fragrant aromas of Thai cuisine during our popular ‘Thai Cookery Day Class’.
As one of the most in-demand cookery classes, our Thai-themed course gave attendees the chance to explore this much-loved cuisine through hands-on cooking. Guests began by creating crispy Thai corn cakes paired with a classic dipping sauce, perfect for enjoying on the day, with plenty left to take home. Guided by expert tutor Chef Alan, participants then prepared a variety of authentic Thai dishes, including Som Tam (green papaya salad), Thai green prawn curry, and Pad Thai.
Designed as a relaxed, interactive experience, this Thai cooking course in Cornwall featured a step-by-step ‘cookalong’ format. Students followed live demonstrations from the chef while preparing each dish themselves, learning valuable techniques along the way. The day started with a warm welcome of fresh pastries and hot drinks, followed by a glass of wine or non-alcoholic option to enjoy as the cooking commenced.
