What’s the course about?
The street food markets brimming with hawkers are a sight to behold in many South East Asia countries. The multitude of smells, sounds and tastes are a feast for all the senses.
In this hands on class, we will teach you to recreate South East Asian flavours, closer to home, with confidence and panache.
What will you cook?
We change our recipes seasonally and move from one regionally inspired selection of recipes to another but the type of dishes you may cook are:
- Thai corn cakes with chilli dipping sauce
- Fish cakes with cucumber relish
- Larp gai – spicy minced chicken salad
- Chicken laksa
- Green chicken and baby corn curry
- Spicy papaya salad
- Malaysian pancake with toasted peanuts and chocolate
What is the format of the class?
You’ll enjoy a hot drink and pastry upon arrival and get to know your fellow classmates.
The class will start with a demonstration before you go on to cook your dishes in pairs.
You will enjoy lunch from the fruits of your labour with a glass or two of wine. There will be some food to take home also.
